A channel setting is open on two sides but also has metal under the stone for additional protection.  We have two styles of center stone channel settings, step-channel and single channel.  We can use this style for diamonds and a variety of gemstones.  However, for rings that are worn daily we recommend using diamonds, sapphires or rubies.

The metals we can use for center stone channel settings include: platinum, 18K yellow gold, 14K red gold and palladium 950; we can also use 18K nickel white gold and 14K nickel white gold.
